Northern California Guided Charter Fishing Trips

There is so much charter fishing in California, so many styles and types we can hardly even begin to write about it on just one webpage. The California coast or the "left" coast is so long that a Northern California fishing trip is a completely different type and style of fishing than the California charter fishing trips of the southern California coast. In the north, from the excellent charter fishing in San Francisco to Sacramento on up to the state line the waters are much colder where Salmon, Steelhead, Trout, and Sturgeon are usually the catch of the day. In the south you find marlin, dorado, and other warm water sportfish that most charter fishing boats go after.

Fishing here is quite different from the north and charter fishing in Southern California offers anglers more of a tropical type setting where they can go bluewater fishing under the warm Southern California sun.

To many west coast anglers this is the only way to experience California charter fishing where you will likely catch a marlin, tuna, or other large gamefish that will have your rod double over to the breaking point and strip the line off your reel so fast it will sing.

The freshwater fishing in California for the most part is fairly consistent across the entire state. If you are looking for a bass fishing guide then it doesn't matter which regions you fish. Some places may be better than others but as far as lake fishing goes there is lake trout and bass all across the state.
