Washington-Freshwater Fishing Charters
We specialize in Guided Sportfishing trips on S.W. Washington Columbia River along with Buoy 10 on the Columbia and Oregon's Tillamook and Nehalem Bays.
Our equipment is top of the line......a 24' Alumaweld Super Vee Sled powered by Yamaha, 16' Smithrock driftboat, Fetha-Styx rods, Shimano reels and dependable line from Ande, Maxima and Power Pro, Hooks by Gamakatsu and Vision along with top quality baits.
Add to that a Guide who holds a Masters Coast Guard License and a vast knowledge of the rivers he fishes.....the result is a safe and pleasurable sport fishing expierience for one and all.
What We Are Fishing Right Now
J and L Guided Sportfishing is gearing up for Spring fishing on the Columbia, Cowlitz, Kalama and Lewis rivers. With winter steelhead season over and a new 18' Smithrock Riverboat and 2 25' Alumaweld Super Vees await christening on the waters of Southwest Washington. Spring time is one of the best times for an angler in Washington.
Begginning in March, 269,300 spring chinook salmon start entering the Columbia river bound for the Cowlitz, Kalama and Lewis rivers as well as the upper tributaries above Bonneville dam. This years run will be the third largest since 1977. We will start fishing March 25th between the mouths of the Kalama and Lewis rivers on the Columbia until the lower river closes to all fishing on April 4th. Then we will fish above I-5 for the remainder of the Columbia's season. A majority of this run consists of 4 year old fish with some 5 year olds mixed in. These 4 year old fish average 12-25 pounds. Looking to catch the best eating salmon in the world? Springers are it so don't delay and call today to reserve your date. Stop wishing and lets go fishing!!!
Mid-April we will move to fishing the North Fork of the Lewis and Kalama rivers. May is the month for maximum fishing opportunity. Spring Chinook fishing is at its peak with 4-7 "hook-ups" a day. I can't think of a more exciting time witnessing these fish smack a bait-wrapped K15 Kwikfish, a Brads diver and bait combo while backtrolling, or hover fishing "cocktail" baits in the deep holes of both rivers.
Summerrun Steelhead are also in the rivers at the same time making for an added bonus! They are chrome-bright, powerful, and add an extra excitement to the day. Averaging 12-18 pounds, we incidently catch several of these beauties every spring salmon season.
COLUMBIA RIVER FISHING DISCOUNT PACKAGES
Jet boat trips on the Columbia, Cowlitz and Lewis rivers for 4 anglers--- $580.00
2 person Driftboat trips on the Kalama--- $325.00. |

California Saltwater Fishing Charters
Departing from Mission Bay or San Diego Bay, my 23' Sea Pro
can accommodate up to 4 passengers for local 1/2 and 3/4 day fishing. Jasara provides a fast comfortable ride to the fishing grounds of La Jolla and Del Mar to the north, or Point Loma, Imperial Beach, and the famous Coronado Islands to the south.
Yellowtail, bonito, barracuda, white sea bass, and trophy calico bass are all possible catches. San Diego Bay is another option year round for sand bass, spotted bay bass, California halibut and bonefish. Jasara has a large casting platform that's perfect for fly fishing. Jasara can get to areas the large sport boats or 6-pack boats can't get to. During the summer and fall months, fish local offshore banks for tuna, yellowtail and dorado.
Or:
Launch from the beach in my 15' Flare at beautiful La Jolla Shores, only minutes from the productive La Jolla kelp beds. This is the way locals have fished for almost a century! Fish with lures or catch your own bait like the locals do.
Yellowtail, bonito, barracuda, white sea bass, and trophy calico bass are all possible catches. Catch and release is recommended to keep this magnificent fishery abundant. The calico bass is the saltwater equivalent of the large-mouth bass in freshwater.
Limited to one passenger, it is ideal for the solo traveler to spend some time on the water. With the beautiful La Jolla coastline in the backround, it's a wonderful way to spend the morning or afternoon. The "Flare" is perfect for a single to fish San Diego Bay also.

Florida-Saltwater Fishing Charters
Double D Charters specializes in offshore live baiting and kite fishing. This is a very exciting and extremely productive fishing technique. Live baits are drifted off of one side of the boat, while a kite or two is flown off the other side of the boat. Attached to the kite, through clips, are more live baits attached to your fishing line. Basically, you now have live baits all around the boat.
This kind of fishing is very effective for sailfish, dolphin, kingfish, tuna, wahoo, cobia, as well as many more types of offshore species.
Evening Swordfishing Charters - Come experience the ultimate blue water fish. Swordfish are truly one of the greatest predators in the ocean. Feel the pull of a swordfish, and you will be hooked for life |

Virginia-Saltwater Fishing Charters
For some hot Virginia and North Carolina sport fishing action come and meet expert fishing guide Captain Nolan Agner.
Enjoy your day on the water with Captain Nolan as his expert offshore fishing skills and unmatched sportfishing knowledge lead you to the popular big game fish species that roam the Mid-Atlantic coast. Get ready for some fantastic Virginia Beach or North Carolina fishing action when you go charter boat fishing out of Rudee Inlet or Oregon Inlet with Capt. Nolan Agner, an experienced professional saltwater charter boat Captain.
Captain Nolan Agner,
Hi guys. We have been running charters out of Virginia Beach, VA and Oregon Inlet (Nags Head), NC since 1999. That just scratches the surface of our extensive fishing experience. We (Capt. Nolan Agner and 1st mate Pete Cruger) specialize in the offshore big game species, but we are equally good at tracking down and capturing all species of inshore fishes.
Offshore, we are usually after tuna, both yellowfin and bluefin or white marlin. Dolphin (mahi mahi) and wahoo, as well as blue marlin are always invited to the party and they often make a good showing. We also have a world-class summertime Amberjack fishery and springtime chopper bluefish run.
Inshore, we do it all. Spadefish, rockfish (striped bass), bluefish, mackerel, black sea bass, tog, sheepshead, black and red drum, cobia, flounder, spot, trout and croaker are all possibilities. Inshore trips are available for half or full days, but offshore requires a full day (12 hour) trip.
We also offer site seeing. Bottlenose dolphin and large whales are all along our coast and offer great opportunities for photography. There are also countless types of birds throughout the Chesapeake Bay and along the Virginia Coastal areas.
We provide everything you need for fishing. When you come for your trip, we will cater to you. We have the proper tackle and it is all top of the line and well maintained. We also have the bait and/or lures and plenty of ice. We even cover all necessary licensing. All you have to worry about is your food and beverages. Also, you may need to bring other personal items. We recommend you have polarized sunglasses along with sunscreen and a hat. Don’t forget your camera!
So, come be among the 10% of fisherman who catch 90% of the fish… we are ready to go!

After 12 years fishing the same local waters for Billfish Mike is one of the oldest skippers and the oldest outfitter on the coast. Our main goal is to always provide the best service to professional sportfishermen, i.e. all full day charters run by the owner himself plus two more charter captains who's quality and professionalism just can't be found anywhere else.
You get FREE pickup at all hotel lobbies by our own Transportation Service, each charter gets his own Transportation vehicle so you don't have to ride to more hotels to pick up additional customers. We use all Penn Gear, serve breakfast and lunch on board starting from Dock with full Marine services.
Mike is the outfitter who started with catch & release for all Billfish on the coast and til today is the one DOING it. The only exception would be a Blue Marlin Grander (1000+) which would be the first for our waters, and that's only for the first one. We don't accept tips to keep Billfish Trophies as we are sportsmen and conserve our environment.
All full day Charters run by Mike with Cpt. Manuel Mota and Cpt. Luis Alberto Caridad run on the 42ft Bertram Sportfisherman named Shekinah, which is of course fully equipped with GPS, Radar, Fishfinder, VHF-Radio, on board emergency Phones and within the 10 nmls range to the coast with Internet access so clients can post their fishing reports live on board or mail their just taken picture to their jellous buddy at home, off course this is a free of charge Service, too.
Make your plans for your Fishing vacations on time, so we can recommend the best fishing days relying on tides/moon phases during your stay. All mails/questions/reservations are answered by Mike himself, so please be patient if an answer sometimes take 10-20 hrs to be answered beacuase daytime is fishing time, nighttime is to chat. Besides the premium full day charters "Full-on Board-Services" that we offer we also offer regular service for full day and half day charters.
