Red Hot Kingfish Bite by Capt. Bruce Burnette

We fished a half-day trip and started by catching some 10 dozen threadfin herring by the pilot boat house in Government Cut off Miami Beach.We left ther and made our way out to the Cuban Hole in 100ft. and put out the planer and a 3 and 1/2 Drone spoon and trolled our way to the Dade County wrecks off Key Biscayne.That produced 3 mongo-sized bonitos in the 20-25lb.range.

We set up in 125ft. of water with 20lb. spinners, two top flatlines and two deep lines with 4oz.leads and in 10 minutes we had a fat king that ended up weighing 37lbs.
