 At Cedar Creek Bait and Tackle, Tom reports flounder are still being caught in good numbers. Tom would like to thank all who participated in this years’ tournament in their fight against cancer.
On the 14th, Steven Flint had 3 keeper flats while fishing between Site #6 and #7 using squid and minnows; the largest weighing 6.08 lbs, the remaining two were 18 ½ and 20”. Steven also had snapper blues in the mix. Jerry Lightcap had 6 keepers ranging from 18 ½ to 20 ½” while also fishing between Site #6 and #7 using squid and minnow. Randy had 2 keepers from site #6 on the outgoing tide with 15 throwbacks. During slack tide he caught 1 sea bass and sand sharks. Tom Brennan and wife fished from G Buoy to the Mohawk on Tues and Wed with great success. The pair boxed a total of 9 fat flats, all near 20” and 6 blues during the 2 days. They reported there was no action from Site #7 and Site #6 produced mostly skates and dogs. The pair was using live minnows and 4” Gulp! chartreuse mullet. Check out their “bounty” on their website in the Fishing Report page. Carl and Bob had 5 keepers with 15-20 throwbacks while fishing Brown Shoal. Scott Powell and Lloyd had 7 keeper flounder while fishing the edge of Brown Shoal using squid and minnow with a white mylar Cedar Creek top & bottom rig. The pair reported 30 throwbacks and the keepers ranged from 19 ½ to 22”. Dale Short had 2 keeper flats, 19 ½ and 21 ½” while fishing around Site #6 and reporting 10-12 throwbacks. Leon Drawbauch fished Brandywine using squid and minnow, coming ashore with a 6.19 flounder with a 25” length and one 15” croaker. Guy Dunlap, Ryan Eaton, Randy Eaton, Jesse Baublitz, and Charlene Robinson fished Brown Shoal and F Buoy on Saturday. Ryan was high hook of the day with 2 flats in the box and the group hooked into a mix of croaker, sea bass, and a sea robin.
