At Cedar Creek Bait and Tackle, Tom reports he is finally getting hermits on a steady basis and should have them for the next month or so. Everyone who has tried these hermits and given a report is astonished at how unbelievably well they are at producing tog. The only negative report they’ve received is how to hook them. Tog take them so fast; if you are going to use them, you need lightning-fast reaction. With the NE blows, the bunker was pushed out of the bay and has been nearly impossible to obtain as of this writing. He’s traveling to get fresh bunker. After 2 days, it gets frozen for crab bait and he obtains more. Fresh bunker, eels, and spot seem to be the baits the rockfish/stripers are after. A few reports were received while trolling stretches. Tom suggests calling ahead if you’d like large quantities of bunker; they will have it bagged and ready to go when you arrive. Tog fishing has been fabulous, weights are running 3 lbs and greater. The hot spots for stripers have been 60’ Slough, Blake’s Channel, Brown Shoal, and Brandywine. Tom was busy filleting fish for nearly 3 hours on Saturday. If you looking for striper/rockfish action, the time is now. See their latest catches at www.cedarcreekbaitntackle.com
