Jim Schlessman and Joe Gierschick fished the Mohawk on Sunday, Nov 08, coming ashore with 12 tog. Jim was high hook with 6.44 lbs. Mark Lillquist boated an 8.1 lb tog using hermits, coming ashore with his limit, most in the 4 lb range from the Mohawk and Site #4. Robert Krise and Karl Friess were fishing Brown Shoal when Robert landed a citation 20.5 lb striper on a bunker head. Tony Tomme came ashore with a 3.04 lb flounder while striper fishing at the Brown Shoal using bunker. Joe, Chris, and Zak Huk fished Brandywine for tog using green crab and hermits. Zak lost a big one using hermits, snapping his line as it pulled his hermit into the rocks. Itchy released all his tog, except one and they released all the females, coming ashore with 12. Capt. Stanley Smith of the Cindy Sue II and John Green fished Site #7, coming ashore with 14 tog. John weighed in a citation 7.2 lb tog caught on a hermit. Gene Heyman had 3 hits on stripers from Brown Shoal; two on eel and one on clam and hooked into tog from Site #7. Capt. Gene Volz released 2 shorts from 60’ Slough. Gary Kennedy and Wardel Dupont came ashore with 7 tog while using green crab and fishing on the south side of Brandywine Light. Father and son, Butch and Franny Jones came ashore with a total of 6 tog from Site #6. Each came ashore with a citation; Howard was high hook with 10.6 lbs, Franny’s weighed 7.69 lbs. Mike and Brian Logue came ashore with 8 tog; two from Site #7 and six from Site#5. Brian was high hook with 5.39 lbs. Dave Lynan weighed in a 20.87 lb citation striper with a 21” girth. On Tuesday, November 10, Bob Little, John Guizzetti, and Jimmy Kossek fished the 60’ Slough using “Tom’s fresh bunker”. Each came ashore with a striper and reported 3 shorts. Bob landed his first striper, 19.2 lbs. Steven Short came ashore with a 35” striper, caught on a bunker head. Capt Ed Meeds of the Julia Lynn has been busy fishing for stripers and not disappointing his customers. From Sat –Tue, they put a total of 21 stripers in the box. Chris Hays and Capt Don Evans of the Jen-Don fished Red Can #6 using eels and boated a 33 lb striper.
Cedar Creek Bait and Tackle will be open on Thanksgiving Day for normal business hours, 6a-5p. They will remain open until the striper bite slows, estimating the 2nd week in December.
