Fernandina Beach Flounder Gigging Ripoff

Booked a flounder gigging trip which should of been named mullet gigging. Trip began at 1 am. Calm wind, dark night. Meet our guide at the Sawpit Creek boat ramp at the Nassau Sound Bridge. Was told they had been having great luck. Asked if tide had anything to do with finding flounder. Guide said tide didn't matter. Well, we learned an expensive lesson. This was just a $275. boat ride. All we saw was mullet. (And not big mullet either.) We did not gig anything. Take my advice and save your money. You would have better luck with a flashlight on your own.
