Spring fishing Fort Lauderdale |
Well March is here and we are looking forward to another great spring time fishing down here in south Florida. In the past March has traditionally been one of the best months to fish off the coast of Fort Lauderdale as well as April and May. This is the time of year that we get a big influx of hammer head sharks and the bigger mahia mahia (dolphin) we also do very well with the sail fishing and even the bigger smoker kings start coming threw.
This is the time of year that we put up our trolling gear and break on the kites and the big rods. Traditionally we do a lot of kite fishing where we suspend live baits from a kite and drop a couple bloody bonitos down deep. This gives us the opportunity to fish for many different kinds of fish at the same time. While the live baits on the surface tend to catch sailfish, Dolphin fish Big kingfish and an occasionally tuna. While our deep baits hammerhead sharks black tip shark and a verity of other reef sharks and every now and then a mako shark.
So if you’re planning to get out of the snow and into the sunshine now the best time weather you’re looking for some fish for a fish fry or that trophy of a life time NOW is the Time.
Feel free to read our daily logs at www.Taco Hooked Up .com to get a better idea of what we’re catching day to day.
Thanks for taking the time to read our reports.
