November 6, 2008 Kona Fishing UPDATE!
The Kona deep sea fishing continues to be quite good. The Kona fishing for Blue Marlin remains very good this fall. Our water temps are warmer than usual and there are plenty of small skipjack tuna schools along the ledges which bring in the big game fish. Also, Mahi Mahi fishing has been excellent. During the last week, we caught two Bull Mahi Mahi weighing in at 46 and 53 lbs...huge for Mahi Mahi. We have also tagged and released two Blue Marlin estimated at 300 and 200 lbs respectively. As for the fishing conditions, the Kona fishing conditions have been wonderful. Warm, clear and calm water conditons. Also our weather has been wonderful....air temps at 85 and the water temperature is a perfect 81 degrees...great for fishing and snorkeling.
Every so often I get an email that emphasizes my approach to big game fishing A few days ago, I got this email from Jeff Ferris...a client who fished with me earlier this month. Thanks Jeff!

Hi Captain Dee Bradford
I would like to thank you for a terrific day of fishing. I read the kind words on your web site. I really got a good look at the marlin we fought and I looked at the record marlin in the downtown hotel in Kona. I am sure it was every bit the size of the record marlin. It was at least a 800 pound marlin. I wish your web site would show a way to leave feedback for others to see. I would give you great feedback and others could know what a terrific effort you give your fishing charters. It would also be great if you had a map posted to show how people all over the place come to fish with you. If you ever change your web site so we can leave positive feedback and kind words let me know. I will give you big A "A+" for the fishing trip. I will continue to watch your web site. Someday I will again vist Kona and look forward to fishing if your not retired. Thanks Jeff Ferris
