High Noon Sportfishing Kona - Bait and Switch |
My wife and I booked a charter with High Noon sportfishing out of Kona a month in advance of our much anticipated vaction in February. Much to our disappointment, captain Dee Bradford booked another more lucrative full day charter on top of ours (I had only booked 3/4 day) and asked my wife and I fish from another older boat. The other boat was an OK charter, but certainly older, did not have the nice A/C cabin that I signed up for and was full of noxious diesel fumes. I had wanted to catch live bait and fish light tackle and no efforts were made to do either - it was a standard drag lures and wait kind charter. On the other charter, I heard the mate comment that High Noon had booked 4 charters for that same day and had farmed them out to other boats - now that's what I call bait and switch! If you are planning to book High Noon for a Kona fishing trip be advised that you may end up fishing from another boat. |
