Official Press Release - May 20, 2005 FishingReporters.com well known by anglers and in fishing circles across North America for their detailed, diverse, and in-depth fishing reports recently launched their brand new charter boat (pun intended) and fishing guide listing directory. Continually bringing anglers top quality fishing reports from locales across North America FishingReporters.com will now be connecting their report readers and other sportsmen with fishing guides and charters from popular out of town fishing spots as well as with their own home town local guides and charter boat Captains.

Pro bass fishing guide carry anglers to Lake Fork in Texas, Smith Lake in Nebraska, Lake Erie, Lake Huron, and other Great Lakes.
Fishing guides for fly fishing outings into God's country for bass, trout, and many other species offered up by mother nature.
Freshwater Fly Fishing Guides

The initial plan for the directory is to provide charter and guide listings for every state in America and also provide listings for international fishing hot spots like Cabo San Lucas or the exotic islands of the Carribean that are known for their excellent big game sport fishing. Since freshwater anglers actually out number saltwater anglers by a margin of almost 10 to 1, (see factual fishing stats), we will most likely have listings for a broad range of freshwater guides in addition to the saltwater charters. Many fresh water guides specialize in only largemouth bass fishing so we will make an effort to aquire listings from guides that will do guided fishing trips for other species like trout, salmon, and a variety of other popular species.

It is our hope to help many of the smaller fishing charters and guides get the business they deserve. We understand the difficulty of trying to compete with the "BIG GUY " on the block, or dock in this case.

From speaking with anglers and being anglers ourselves that frequently fish out of town we always find it difficult to search for reputable charter boats or fishing guides in states other than our own, especially since most anglers do not have an out of town phone book readily available. For anglers the internet has made the search for fishing charters much easier but still there just aren't that many resources available to the angler heading out on a fishing charter trip or fishing vacation in another state.

Likewise is true of the reverse for the small to midsize fishing charter operations when it comes to finding bookings, while the bigger more established boats are booked many of the smaller charter businesses are left at the dock. Many times the local marina at the major inlet will handle booking for charter boats that use the local harbor or rent their dock space. Captain Butch of Yeah Right! Sportfishing Charters of Atlantic Beach NC says "the hardest part about running a professional charter boat is not finding the fish but rather having out of state anglers find us."

A saltwater charter boat out of Tampa Bay Florida heads out for tuna, wahoo, and marlin.
Fishing charters to offshore blue waters for exciting heart pounding, reel cranking, high flying marlin and other big game sport fishing action.

Connecting Fishing Charters With Anglers

Our goal is to connect professional fishing charters and guides with out of state anglers that may be coming to town for a sport fishing vacation, be it in fresh or salt water. It is also our hope to help many of the smaller fishing charters and guides get the charter and guide business they deserve. We understand the difficulty of trying to compete with the "big guy" on the block, or dock in this case. Now the small to mid-sized charter boats can purchase a listing in a reputable guide directory with large internet traffic as a valuable booking resource for out of town and out of state anglers. Now the lesser known charter boat Captains and fishing guides can level the playing just a bit and reach 'out-of-towners' just as easy as the big boys.

Captains interested in adding their fishing charters and guide businesses to the directory will find upon visiting FishingReporters.com that the price to 'Get Listed' is extra reasonable and set for the tightest of budgets. Also, Captains that write regular fishing reports will be able to list their fishing charter or fishing guide service for FREE. The free charter listing plan is for those Captains and Guides that can write two (2) fishing reports per month for FishingReporters.com for their own respective locality. END.
