SAM RAYBURN: Well the wind has been a monster this last week but has not stopped the Big Bass from comming into the shallows.
Big Bass up to 9 lbs. and several 8 lbers. were reported this last week with most Bass caught in the 1-3 foot range. Water temps have been up and down but around 60-65 degrees. This comming warm spell in the 80's should push some waves of Bass into the spawning flats.
Most Bass are being caught in the pockets or drains near or on the Flats.
Bigger Bass came on 1/2 ounce White Spinnerbaits thrown in 1-3 foot and Traps. Wacky rigged and Texas rigged senko type baits caught alot of Bass as well.
The Jigs produced the Biggest sacks for this last Saturdays Bass Champs Tournament worked in a creek channel 10-11 foot depth. But alot of 20 lb. stringers came in on traps,spinnerbaits,wacky worms, and Texas rigged Senko Type baits.

LAKE PALESTINE; Water temps have been holding up great in the low 60's but as well this comming week will produce alot of 80 degree days which will move the Bass up in a greater way. This last week Bass have been hiding in out of the way areas but are spawning. Bass up to 7 lbs. are comming to the boat being caught in 1-3 foot of water in the back of coves.
Bass have been hitting Senko type baits rigged wacky style and Texas rigged. Creature baits rigged Texas style have been catching alot of Bass up to 4 lbs. The spinnerbait bite has been off lately but when it comes on watch out. You can catch alot of quality Bass on Lake Palestine.
