The photo of the week shows a bright, fresh Chinook (King) Salmon landed on the Kitimat River Thursday, June 24, 2010. The photo was snapped by head angling guide Dustin Kovacvich of Nicholas Dean Lodge. He was guiding two anglers. They hooked four Chinook and landed two. They were fishing Skagit style heads on spey rods with custom made Decsension sink tips from Nicholas Dean Lodge. For flies they used Blue, Chartreuse, Black and Silver articulated marabou leach patterns, one of which can be seen in the Chinooks mouth. Quote from Dustin, \\ |
