SAM RAYBURN: Alot of Bass being caught this week. The Lake is flooded from recent rains but still a couple feet under full pool but still rising. Water is stained over most the Lake but Bass do not seem to mind.
Over 20 Bass a day is common with the Biggest being over 10 lbs. Big Bass were in 2-8 feet of water and the water temps were running from 56 - 64 degrees.
Big Bass are comming in to spawn as well as small. Bass were hitting rattle traps and spinnerbaits. Good colors are red and orange crawfish in 1/2 ounce worked near grass in 2-8 feet.
Personally I like the Bill Lewis rattle trap and the Nichols Spinnerbaits and Jigs.

I have tried them this week on Lake Palestine and caught over 20 Bass in the watermelon Red color worked on carolina rigs.
LAKE PALESTINE; The Lake looks like a flooded River up on the North End. Kickapoo, Well it is really flooded and off color. Managed a few small swimmers there on spinnerbaits but the bite was tough there. Old Folks has clear water but only caught a few small fish,(that could change any day). The Dam to Mid-Lake has clear water by Dam area turning to moderate going towards Mid-Lake.
Caught about 25 Bass on Carolina Rigs using E2 Baits Bob-Tail Lizard in Watermelon Red fish off Main Lake points in 6-15 feet. Had a real Hog Bass pull off.
Caught one Bass about 5 lbs. near grass in 2 feet on a rattle trap-Red. Water temps were running 54-59 degrees.
LAKE FAIRFIELD: The spawn is in high gear there with the Bass spawning right now. Ovewr 40 Bass came to the boat up to about 5 lbs. White spinnerbaits and Chartruse spinnerbaits caught them also on Creature baits rigged Texas rig in Watermeoln Candy. Good Creature baits are the Nichols Creature Bait, The Phantom Stink Hog, and the Zoom brush Hog.
