Fishing Chesapeake Beach and Tilghman Island in the Middle Chesapeake Bay region.
Fishing in Deale or the bordering cities of Chesapeake Beach and Tilghman Island is basically the same as fishing anywhere else in the Chesapeake Bay. An angler fishing for panfish can expect to catch spot, croaker, and perch and anglers looking for a little more sport will find some large flounder, blues, and striper which are locally called rockfish.
Some of the area fishing spots frequented by the local charters, head boats, and or party boats include Sharp's Island Wreck, the Summer Gooses, Hog Point, Hooper's Island, and the gas docks south of Chesapeake Beach. When anglers fish the eastern side of the Bay there are many small island's and flats to fish too which is where you will find many of your more experienced fly fishermen and fishing guides that call this area home. |
